Custom wood tables

A custom solid wood table, the centerpiece of the space

Dining, conference or side tables. Built in noble wood in our St-Eustache workshop, in the dimensions and species chosen by the client.

MICHELENA tables

The piece around which everything happens

The table is the most used piece of furniture in a home and the most exposed in a commercial space. It is where families gather, where contracts are signed and where first impressions form. In solid wood, it becomes an element that lasts decades and gains character over time. At MICHELENA, custom wood tables are built with the same rigor as our architectural doors. Same workshop, same artisans, same species. The difference lies in the function, not in the level of finish.

Materials and construction

Anatomy of a MICHELENA solid wood table

The top is assembled from planks selected for grain and tone continuity. Joints are reinforced to resist the wood’s expansion and contraction cycles across the seasons. The result is a stable, homogeneous surface.

  • Species, bases and dimensions

White oak for versatility. Black walnut for depth. Sapele mahogany for grain richness. Maple, birch, cherry or poplar depending on the desired look. Solid wood legs built in the workshop, or lacquered steel bases produced with our specialized partners. Dimensions: up to 240 inches (20 feet) in length. Width is limited to 48 inches, determined by the capacity of our industrial sander.

Advantages

Why dress a wall in wood rather than paint or wallpaper

Paint and wallpaper cover a wall. Wood transforms it.

Acoustic dimension

Wood panels absorb sound and reduce reverberation. In an open living room, a restaurant or a conference room, this property improves conversation comfort with no visible acoustic treatment.

Durability and minimal maintenance

Where paint flakes and wallpaper peels, wood ages with grace. Gentle cleaning and a finish touch-up every 5 to 10 years are enough. No stripping, no re-hanging.

Lasting added value

A noble wood wall raises the perceived value of the room and the property. It is a visible investment that stands out at resale or reinforces the image of a commercial space.

Process

From the first discussion to delivery of the table

Four steps to obtain a table perfectly suited to the space and intended use.

01
Discussion and dimensions

Exchange on use (daily meals, receptions, conferences), desired seating count and available space. Photos of the room welcome.

02
Species and base selection

Presentation of species and finish samples. Validation of the base type (wood, steel or combination) and the options (extensions, cable runs).

03
Manufacturing

Everything starts with plank selection. The artisan selects those whose grain and tone will run unbroken across the full length of the top. Assembly follows, then the base construction (in wood in the workshop or in steel with our partners), then finishing in a controlled booth for a surface that resists stains and heat.

04
Delivery and setup

Protected transport and positioning in the room. For oversized conference tables, section assembly on site.
